FOURTH ANNUAL MCGT GIFTED EDUCATION RESOURCE FAIR Sat Feb 23rd
The Minnesota Council for the Gifted and Talented (MCGT) and the MCGT
Homeschoolers Chapter are proud to sponsor the Fourth Annual MCGT Gifted
Education Resource Fair. Hosted by the MCGT East Metro Chapter, the Fourth
Annual MCGT Gifted Education Resource Fair will be held at the District 622
Community Education Building in North St. Paul on Saturday, February 23,
2008, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Admission is $5 per family for MCGT members and $10 per family for
non-members, with an opportunity to join MCGT at the door to receive the
discounted admission price.
Parents and educators are invited to come and learn more about the materials
and programs available to gifted students including:
. Curriculum and other materials parents have used with their gifted
children for homeschooling, supplemental after-schooling, or as replacement
curriculum for school-based independent study.
. Information about distance learning programs for gifted students.
. Information about local and national organizations for families of
gifted children.
Attendees will be able to ask parents of gifted children questions about the
many resources currently being used and examine some of those materials
first hand. Books on gifted children and gifted education may also be
purchased during the resource fair at the MCGT Book Table. Additionally,
local vendors of educational products will have many materials for sale.
The MCGT Gifted Education Resource Fair began in 2005 as a way for parents
of gifted children to share their knowledge with other families and
encourage those parents to seek out the best programs and materials for
their children. Please plan on attending this annual event.
